Jeremy Rozan, an industrial painter of 34 years old, died dramatically yesterday in a double accident at work and a traffic accident when he fell from a overpass in Queens and being hit by a car on the Van Wyck highway.
The tragedy also left three injured. Staten Island resident Rozan was painting support beams on the Roosevelt Avenue Bridge when for some reason she fell from a construction structure and landed on the road below, according to the NYPD.
As he fell he was struck by a Nissan Altima 2012 traveling northbound on the Van Wyck Expressway around 10: 34 Tuesday am, authorities said . Adding to the violence, his body was thrown into the left lane after making contact with the car.
Even so, he was found alive. First responders found Rozan unconscious with severe head and body trauma. He was later pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Queens.
The driver of the Nissan, a man 46 years old, remained at the scene after the fatal incident, authorities said. He and two passengers in his car were taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
The double accident at work and on the road was yesterday being analyzed by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad, reported New York Post.
