If you are looking to buy a home in New York, you may want to consider one in the Fiske Terrace neighborhood of the Brooklyn area. And, according to a recent report by PropertyShark, a real estate website, home prices in this coveted Brooklyn neighborhood have dropped exponentially since last year.
Fiske Terrace, which located just below Prospect Park, has long been one of the most expensive areas in New York City for prospective buyers, but this year the median home price dropped $1.65 million to $905 thousand dollars.
It is still considered one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city of New York, but this year it ranked 45 instead of ninth on the list.
Taking into account all New York City boroughs, the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas continue to be the highest priced at despite the recent drop in home prices in Fiske Terrace.
Together, the two districts make up the entire t op 10 of the most expensive neighborhoods in New York City, whose first three places were occupied by Hudson Yards (median home price $5,85 million), TriBeCa (median home price $3,51 million), and Hudson Square (median home price house $2,74 million).
