Timo Werner will miss the World Cup in Qatar 2022 with the German national team. The reason? The injury he suffered in the last match of the Champions League for his team, RB Leipzig, against Shakhtar Donetsk.
This was reported by Leipzig on Thursday, after the diagnosis of Werner who had to be substituted when little more than 20 minutes had been played in the first half.
The German striker, from 26 years old, suffered a tear in the syndesmosis of the left ankle. This will keep him off the pitch for the remainder of the year.
