nairo-quintana-defends-himself:-“i-have-had-more-than-300-anti-doping-tests-and-i-never-had-a-doping-problem”

The final decision by the CAS in the doping trial against Nairo Quintana has represented a bucket of ice water for the cyclist, who is not daunted, and assures that he will continue to leave the Colombian flag high.

Through a video published on social networks, Nairo affirms that although he feels sad about the ruling, he will not leave the competitions.

“Unfortunately the ruling was not good for me I sadly say it. I proudly say that in my career I have had more than 300 anti-doping and I have never had any doping problems. I have many reasons why I have not taken this product. Unfortunately, the result turned out like this”, said Quintana.

The CAS ratified this Thursday the disqualification of Nairo in the last edition of the Tour de France for violating the prohibition of the use of substances banned in competitions, in this case tramadol.

“Life goes on, the storm has to pass, we keep looking forward. I have a nice family, I have a country and great friends who support me. Thank you very much for that, and we will see each other soon”, he added.

“We know that we are still in our Gran Fondo, where we will go there with many of you to talk about everything that has happened throughout my sporting life and what has happened during this process, and the fight I had to defend myself”, he concluded.
