Russia carried out a test on Thursday of its Bulavá ballistic missile, which was fired from the “Generalissimo Suvórov” atomic submarine in the waters of the White Sea, the Ministry of Defense reported.

The department military specified in a note that the warheads of the missile reached their target in the Kura range (on the Kamchatka peninsula).

“The crew of the new strategic missile submarine ‘Generalissimo Suvorov’ of the Borei-A project successfully fired the ballistic missile Bulava as part of the final stage of state tests”, adds the note.

“Generalissimo Suvorov” is a fourth-generation ballistic missile nuclear submarine, built at the Sevmash shipyard based in the arctic port of Severodvinsk.

By the end of october, Russia conducted a test of a “massive nuclear launch” in response to an attack on the country.

In September, in two speeches, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, assured that he is willing to use atomic weapons to defend Russia, in the context of the war with Ukraine, a country that Moscow invaded in February 2022.
