Selena Gómez confessed that in her moments of crisis, due to her mental illnesses, she questioned whether to stay alive, without actually attacking her.

In an interview with Rolling magazine Stone, the singer of 30 years, was honest about her fight against mental disorders, especially bipolarity -a disease that was diagnosed more than four years ago-, in addition to depression and anxiety .

“I thought the world would be better if I wasn’t there“, he shared.

The also actress went through four rehabilitation centers to be in treatment when she was around 20 years old.

“I think that when I started to turn 20 years old it was when it began to get very dark, when I began to feel that I had no control over what I felt, either really good or really bad“, he said.

Some of the events in his life that affected his mental health were the attempt to change the image she had as a Disney girl, the end of her media relationship with Justin Bieber followed by the Canadian’s marriage to Hailey Bieber, as Internet users involved her in a relationship that for her had remained in the past and that made her feel bad about herself herself.

Despite the difficulties she has faced, Selena Gómez has not lost her refuge in music to get the most positive out of every situation, as she did with “Lose You To Love Me” a song where he talks about choosing himself first before others.

Now he does it with “My Mind & Me“, a song in which he expresses this battle and the lessons he has learned from it, in addition tries to bring comfort to other people who may be going through a situation similar to what she has experienced.

The new single by Selena Gómez, “My Mind & Me” is available on digital platforms, and on November 4 she will premiere her documentary for Apple TV+ titled or My Mind & Me.
