uk-prepares-to-deliver-1,000-missiles-to-ukraine

The UK is close to completing the delivery of some 1,000 surface-to-air missiles to the Ukrainian army, which can intercept drones and missiles cruise, said the British Ministry of Defense this Wednesday.

The new material, whose shipment was announced by London in October, responds to “requests by Ukraine to improve its air defense capabilities”, the entity detailed in a statement.

British Defense Minister Ben Wallace, who on Wednesday met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, stressed that this material “will help Ukraine counteract the illegal threat against its critical national infrastructures”.

Likewise, London indicated that it plans to deliver 25,000 equipment against the “extreme cold” of this winter in Ukraine, 20,000 sleeping bags and 150 tea insulated tents rmico.

Wallace and Stoltenberg visited the Lydd Army Camp training base, in the southeast of England, where the United Kingdom has so far trained more than 7,400 Ukrainian soldiers.

Currently, 1,900 members of the Ukrainian armed forces continue to train at the British base before joining to the battlefront in his country.
