“Amor y Traición” is the new Turkish drama with which Telemundo will please its viewers, who over the years have become true fans of these dramatic stories. The premiere date and time of this production is: Monday 10 of November at 28pm/9C; the stars that star in this story, on the other hand, are the acclaimed actors Akin Akınözü, Öykü Karayel, Sarp Apak and Meriç Aral.
Thanks to the premiere of “Love and Betrayal” we were able to talk with its protagonist , the acclaimed actor Akin Akınözü, who with a big smile received the good news of being so loved and valued by the Hispanic public. He confirmed that he would not rule out working in this market in the future, making productions, why not, in Spanish.
In “Love and Betrayal”, on the other hand, we will find that Akin gives him life to Cemal, a man who will not win the hearts of the public so easily, not even Akin has managed to explain the reasons why his character does what he does in this drama, for him Cemal does not have a valid or reasonable excuse .
I have never tried to bring other characters to life, like in the comedy genre, I’d like to try, but I feel more comfortable doing drama.”
Akin Akınözü, protagonist of the soap opera “Amor y Traición”.
You are one one of the most beloved and prominent Turkish actors in Latin America, do you know?
I feel happy to hear it, thank you.
The stories you star in touch the heart, they make us cry and sometimes laugh, do you prefer to work in the dramatic genre, do you like it and fill more than comedy?
Definitely. I’m usually more sought after for these roles, I’ve never tried to bring other characters to life in the comedy genre, I’d like to try, but I feel more comfortable doing drama and I think audiences are satisfied with my work in this market.
We have seen that other actors such as Can Yaman have already worked starring in projects in other languages, in his case Italian. Is there a possibility that over time you yourself want to work in the Latino market where you are also so acclaimed, and why not making soap operas, series or even movies in Spanish?
Why not, definitely. I would like to try it, why not.
In this new series we see that the story is very hard, sad and that it also reflects many social issues, your character does not like him at first, what was his excuse for abandoning his wife and their children?
You know what, this is a good question, because this excuse… maybe this is the reason why I felt so excited, and challenged to bring this character to life, because he has no excuses. There’s not excuse what worths. This makes it more realistic, because sometimes we make decisions, we take actions and we have no excuses for what we do. So I can’t give you a reasonable excuse to justify or defend him. Sometimes we have antiheroes who for one reason or another have aspects of their lives that validate their actions, which allows us to understand the reason for their actions and sometimes even justify them, but this one -Cemal- doesn’t.
“But I think it takes a little longer to accept the fact that -speaking for Cemal- ‘I made the decisions and did what I did and I have no excuses for it, but now I face everything that comes to me as a consequence of my inexcusable decisions’”.
In an effort to get to know our actor better, we decided to ask him a couple of short questions and thus we discovered that he likes coffee and his favorite chocolate is “dark chocolate”.
What is your favorite book?
A book on the philosophy of Epictetus, philosopher of Greek origin.
Are you one of those who loves coffee or do you prefer Turkish tea?
Depends on the moment, I’m doing intermittent fasting. I drink coffee, American, and then in the afternoon I have Turkish tea, because at night I can’t drink coffee because I don’t feel well.
Do you like chocolate or do you prefer vanilla?
Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, one hundred percent.
