This was confirmed by the team itself on social networks, noting that they were with all their “friends and family” in their sentiments at this difficult time.

“Atlético Tucumán regrets to confirm the death of Colombian soccer player Andrés Balanta. We embrace and accompany his family and friends with deep respect at this time”, the ‘Dean’ published on his official account on the social network Twitter, along with a photo with a superimposed black bow in which the player can be seen smiling.

According to local reports, the soccer player was years old and died minutes after being admitted to the San Miguel de Tucuman; despite the fact that the doctors tried to do resuscitation work with a defibrillator for more than 40 minutes, he was pronounced dead.
