Juan Luis Guerra held two concerts in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, and assured that they were wonderful. After finishing his work in that city, one of the Dominican singer’s companions had a bag stolen from him at the airport, when he was checking in with the airline, and they lost data on the tour and the necessary equipment to carry out those concerts.
The world-renowned singer sent a statement through his social networks to ask that these items be returned to him and even offered a reward for it.
“Dear friends from Bogotá. After two wonderful concerts we were preparing to leave for Chile to continue our tour and one of our colleagues had his hand luggage stolen at the time he was checking in with the airline. We make this unfortunate situation public since in that baggage was our tour data and extremely necessary equipment for our concerts. We beg that they be returned and we are willing to pay a reward for them,” said Juan Luis Guerra in a letter.
Many of the comments the singer received were from people condemning the act. “I am sorry that this happened to you in our country. I hope they can get it back”, “What a shame that this type of thing happens in our country with international artists” and “What a disaster and what a shame”, they told the singer.
Prior to the letter, the singer had shared a photo gallery of what were his concerts in Bogotá, where he had the company of various artists on stage. “In Colombia people give you the best! To my dear Vicente Garcia, Gusi, Fonseca and Andrés Cepeda for making our hearts happy. Thank you Bogotá for all the love!” Said the singer on his Instagram account.
