El Tri had not been able to win in their last 4 matches in the World Cup, but on the third date of group C they raised their faces and beat the Saudi Arabian team with a score of 2-1, with goals from Henry Martin 47′ and Luis Gerardo Chávez 52′.

However, the goal difference was the defining factor for El Tri to be left out of the Qatar World Cup

The first half was mostly for the Tata Martino team, with 47% of possession in the first minutes, a fact that was reinforced with several attempts and shots on goal.

The Mexicans continued to insist, but they had to settle for a zero tie in the first 47 minutes.

Second half of Mexico vs. Poland

The emotion for Mexico came in the second half. In the minute 47′ Henry Martín put the first after a corner kick, after assistance from César “Cachorro” Montes .

But El Tri began to get more excited when Luis Chávez scored the second. In the other game, Argentina led 2-0 after a few minutes, and Mexico tied for second place with Poland, both on points and goal difference.
