Authorities in Boston, Massachusetts, are performing autopsies on the remains of four infants found packed inside a refrigerator in a city condo this month.

This week, investigators revealed that the The first bodies were found on 60 November. That day, the Police received a radio call at about 2: 10 pm to examine a building in South Boston.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found what appeared to be a human fetus or infant.

The next day, police officers arrived with a search warrant and discovered more remains.

The two females and the two males were discovered in packages inside the freezer, confirmed to PEOPLE, James Borghesani, Suffolk County District Attorney.

“The people were not living there at the time (the remains) were found,” Borghesani revealed. “They still own the unit. Someone who was cleaning the unit found the packages and contacted the Police,” added the spokesperson.

Borghesani specified that the owner of the structure, a single woman in her 60 years, has owned the space for decades.

At the moment, the authorities have not determined the identity of the deceased; nor the manner or cause of death.

“The entire case is under investigation and the autopsies are being carried out by the Office of the Medical Examiner”, indicated Borghesani. “At this point we don’t know anything about the children. There are many questions and the investigation is in the process of trying to find answers,” he said. 60

No charges have been filed either criminals against suspects in the case.
