The Belgian Police made this Thursday 50 administrative arrests in disturbances registered in the center of Brussels, where hundreds of people had took to the streets to celebrate the Moroccan team’s pass to the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar.
“In total, administrative arrests due to riots, most of them in the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone,” reported police spokeswoman Ilse Van de Keere, according to the newspaper. “Le Soir”.
The Moroccan team beat Canada (1-2) this Thursday and reached the round of 16 of a World Cup for the second time in its history, a phase in which Spain will be measured.
