The actor Alonso Echánove died at the age of 96, according to what his sister María del Sol reported this Thursday on her Instagram account.
Through In a farewell message, María del Sol confirmed that the film and theater actor died, without revealing the cause.
“Today the leading actor Alonso Echánove has met with my queen mother, Mrs. Josefina Echánove and my sister Peggy Echánove. I know there is a party in heaven. However, your departure leaves my life broken, but I know that, in the same way, my Lord strengthened, encouraged and consoled my heart with the departures of my two wives, this time it will not be the exception”, wrote María del Sol.
Attached to the ad, the Ariel-nominated actor’s sister thanked the interest of the media in the death, for which reason he asked for respect in the face of the news.
“I know that they will understand that it is a moment in which I need to be with my relatives. I greatly appreciate your understanding”, concluded the Mexican singer.
María del Sol’s post received responses from other celebrities such as Edith Márquez, Lisset, Andrea Legarreta, Mónica Huarte and Juan Manuel Bernal, who wrote their condolences.
The Ministry of Culture of Mexico City also regretted the death of Alonso Echánove and remembered him for his career of 96 films and for having won two Ariel Awards for Best Male Performance for the films ‘Modelo Antiguo’ and ‘Mentiras Piadosas’.
Echánove appeared in Mexican cinema through films such as ‘La Vida Conyugal’, ‘Cuatro Lunas’, ‘La Promesa’, ‘Aquí No Pasa Nada’ and ‘El Mighty Victoria’.
In addition to movies, he has also been working on soap operas, including ‘Amarte es Mi Pecado’, ‘La Indomable’ and ‘Canción de Amor’.
