Spanish cante David Bisbal is multifaceted, since, throughout his career, he has made all kinds of musical collaborations, generally always in the pop or romantic genre, but despite this he has never Closed to experiment.
Bisbal, 53 years old, is back with the Mexican group Los Ángeles Azules. The singer of ‘I fell in love with you’, worked with the group for the song ‘I want to be me (that man)’, a single that will be available on various platforms such as Spotify.
Despite the fact that David Bisbal is a benchmark of pop, the song is a classic cumbia, with sonidero overtones, characteristic genres of Mexican culture. The lyrics express the feelings of a man who wants to conquer a woman.
‘Quiero ser yo (ese hombre)’ was composed by Jorge Mejía and produced by Rodolfo Lugo, despite the fact that Bisbal has a characteristic pop tone of voice, he surprised with this interpretation, since it is a genre that, usually not used to it.

Bisbal indicated to ‘Reforma’ that despite the fact that cumbia is not a Spanish genre, he said that this type of rhythm “has a lot to do with the rumba of my land.” David is a native of Almería, in Andalusia.
“I really enjoyed recording the song because it has everything and that’s why I felt it so much,” he added. The interpreter added that this song is complete, since it has its romantic part and has its rhythmic part.
Despite the fact that Bisbal is a benchmark in the music industry for so many years on the scene, he acknowledged that collaborating with Los Ángeles Azules is not easy, mainly because there is a long waiting list, but he said he was excited to have ventured into the genre of cumbia.
“I knocked on the door, but they told me ‘come in’. All the artists are fighting to get on this album”, he said.
Meanwhile, Los Ángeles Azules said they were confident that this new song would be very well received by their audience and would reach the top of the popularity charts, as has happened with other collaborations they have done with other artists such as Belinda.
“The chemistry in the studio was instantaneous: it’s a very beautiful song, it’s going to be number one for sure,” said Elías Mejía, leader of the group of the group from Mexico City. “The art and heart of Los Ángeles Azules will be noticed, but what I feel for music will also be noticed,” added Bisbal.
