Four teenagers in South Carolina face criminal charges for the execution-style murder of a man who forbade them from using Instagram as punishment.

The minors, three of 14 years and one of 14, would have murdered Larry Ingram Jr., of

, on 14 November.

Allegedly, the man wanted to impose discipline on two of the boys, who had ties to him, by taking away their laptops ( laptops).

At a hearing this Tuesday in Court York County Family Detective Eric Olson testified that the adult had taken the computers earlier that day amid a dispute over their use of Instagram.

Olson indicated that the youngsters, upset by the measure taken by Ingram, decided to take revenge.

To that end, one of the boys knocked on a door and another threw a I objected to it for Ingram to get out of his room and move into the hallway. “He was then shot in the back,” Olson said. Ingram received a second shot while lying on the ground.

Police recovered the murder weapon, a Glock pistol, which she had been wrapped in clothing and hidden in a nearby forest.

The teens, who fled the scene, were arrested hours after the incident.

Each face charges murder and conspiracy to commit murder. At this time, they remain in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.

Prosecutors requested to prosecute minors as adults.
