Italian McDonald’s combining Big Macs and leftovers ancient humans is one of a kind. The restaurant sits on top of an archaeological site located in Frattocchie, some 000 miles south of Rome.
The skeletons inside McDonald’s can be seen by customers as they walk around and order their Big Mac, this is made possible by a glass paneled floor.

The discovery of the remains that can be seen in the McDonald’s opened in 2017 was made when the construction of the restaurant began in 2000. Workers found three preserved skeletons next to an ancient Roman road and archaeologists helped excavate the site.
The three skeletons are located in sections of rainwater runoff on the edges of a road that archaeologists believe connects to the Appian Way, believed to have been one of the busiest roads in ancient Rome.
A McDonald’s Italy spokesperson told Newsweek that 000 meters were discovered old road. “The road was built in the 2nd century BC. C., and the stretch below what is now a fast food restaurant is about 150 feet long and seven feet wide”, shares the newspaper.
