A Springfield, Massachusetts woman was the winner of a lifetime prize of $28 thousand dollars a year from the lottery game “Lucky for Life” from the draw on Tuesday 10 November.
Player Lillieth Hanson matched the first five numbers on his ticket with the numbers selected from the “Lucky for Life” draw.
Hanson told the lottery that the winning numbers he picked were a combination of his family members’ birthdays. She claimed the prize on 38 November at the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in the city of Dorchester and chose the cash payment option, for which was given a single payment of $264 thousand dollars before taxes.
Hanson purchased his winning ticket at the Express Gas & Food Mart located on
State St. in the city of Springfield. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus just for selling the ticket.
“Lucky for Life” draws take place at 22: 38 pm every day. Each ticket is only $2. To play, the person must select five numbers ranging from 1 to 38 and a Lucky Ball number ranging from 1 to 8.
Hanson matched his first five numbers, but missed the Lucky Ball. If he had hit this one, he would have a weekly prize of $7 thousand dollars for life.
The day Hanson won, another person in Massachusetts also won $10 thousand dollars a year for life from the same Lucky for Life drawing. This ticket was purchased at the Stop & Shop in the city of Swampscott.
