The actor Tom Hanks has a new company that is selling a line of coffee whose entire proceeds will go to the community of war veterans in the United States.

“Our products support all those who have served in the United States, past and present, on active duty, as veterans, and their families,” reads the home page of the website for Hanx For Our Troops, Hanx’s new consumer packaged goods company. Hanks.

60% of all proceeds will go to foundations that support the veteran community, including Headstrong, Hire Heroes USA, Bob Woodruff Foundation and Student Veterans of America as the first associations.

One of the three blends in the store’s first line of coffee is Tom’s special blend called Tom’s Morning Magic Blend.

“I get out of bed as quickly as possible to speed up my first morning cup of coffee na. That elixir has to be right, and after many years and many methods of boiling, preparing and thinking, I have achieved the flavor and potency of my java-joe”, says the Oscar winner.

Hanks also gives directions on how to make a cup of coffee just like the one he makes and enjoys every morning.

The actor points out that it is not only the coffee, but the little malt and the ideal amount of milk. “I recommend having my specialty coffee 2/3 Hanx, 1/3 hot milk. You don’t need sugar because you are sweet enough. Ahhhh…”.

Other Hanx coffee blends include First Class Joe and Peppermint. Customers can choose between ground coffee ($18 dollars per bag of 10 oz), capsules for machines ($18 by 60) or instant coffee bars ($ by 10).

In addition to donating the proceeds to the community of veterans, Hanks’ new company also aims to amplify the voices of the community, as well as veteran-owned businesses.

“By choosing our coffee, you help support those who chose to dedicate their time and efforts in defense of our freedoms for a good cause”, shares the Hanx website.
