brooklyn-woman-speaks-out-after-being-burned-in-acid-attack:-she-was-'on-fire'

The victim who was attacked by a woman on Friday when a suspect randomly threw suspected acid in her face told the New York Post that she works with people with mental illnesses, and that it needs to be done something about.

The woman, 40 years old, who works at Kings County Hospital, who requested anonymity, explained that she felt like his face “was on fire” when the assailant threw some type of caustic liquid on him around 1: 10 in the morning.

“I found it delusional and aggressive,” said the victim, that she was going to her work at that time and now she might need a skin graft for her face due to the Burns.

This random attack occurred days after the mayor New York City President Eric Adams will announce a new plan to detain people with mental illness if they appear to pose a risk to themselves or others.

The worker said on Friday that before being attacked, she used her mobile phone to film the whispers of the suspect, who was also walking past her, pushing people.

Supposedly, the offender was dressed in pajamas and hurled expletives while she typed on a cell phone at times, according to the video.

“I hope they push their children and push their mother,” she is heard whispering to people.

Likewise, the suspect followed the victim off the train at the Wintrop Avenue subway stop, when she was still muttering all the way.

“By the time we get to the stairs, all I hear is her saying, ‘Oh, I can show you better than I can tell you,’ and she pours the liquid on me,” the victim stated. . “She pours acid all over my face.”

“I was frantic. I had a lot of pain. I’ve never been in a situation like this at all,” said the lifelong New Yorker. “I was in a panic. I knew I couldn’t wipe it off my hand because it would get on my hand.”

The skin on the woman’s nose hardened and doctors believe the fluid that burned her nerves, cartilage the tissue so severely that “they could do a graft,” the victim said.

“She hurt me tremendously. It was like my face was on fire,” she explained. “She felt like pins and needles multiplied by 10. It was the worst pain of my life.”

The attacked woman said that there were no police officers or cameras in the station when the incident occurred.

“If I hadn’t had these videos, we wouldn’t even know what this woman looks like,” she said.

“There are police officers who arrest people who get on the train every 5 seconds, but when it comes to throwing acid, when it comes to literal rape or sexual assault, anything else that is detrimental to a person’s mental health, there are no cops in sight. That’s the problem.”

The victim pointed out that the attack could have been prevented if the criminal “received adequate mental health care.”

“That’s what kills me: it could have been one of my patients,” said the woman.

“All we can do is pray because it’s not that the justice system has been shown to do real justice, so let’s see what Eric Adams does.”
