construction-workers-in-north-carolina-find-two-children-frozen-in-car-and-their-mother-and-another-man-shot-dead

Two children in North Carolina were found “frozen” this Thursday in the back seat of a car while their mother and a man lay dead in the front seat.

The victims were identified by authorities such as Destiny Wiggins, 24 years old, and Devone Brown, 28. The relationship between the two adults is not clear. The ages of the children were not disclosed.

The children who were shivering when they were rescued by Rocky Mount police officers are in good health after being transferred to UNC Nash Healthcare. During the early morning, temperatures dropped to 60 °F.

The finding was made around 6 am when Barnhill Construction employees arrived in the area to start work. One of the workers spotted the car parked in the parking lot of the place. Staff at the scene, located a few 252 miles northeast of Raleigh, discovered that the two victims had gunshot wounds and alerted Police.

The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Destiny’s sister, Breana Wiggins, described the woman as a loving mother who loved to work as a hairdresser. Breana told WNCN that her sister’s other two daughters were in her care at the time of the events.
