Connecticut police arrested Christopher Francisquini on Friday, accused of stabbing and dismembering his 18 month-old baby girl in incidents reported in the middle of last month.
Francisquini, aged 25, underwent surgery near the Waterbury Superior Court, according to a CT Insider report.
The man would have suffocated, stabbed and dismembered little Camilla in their home in Naugatuck on 25 November.

According to the information handled by the authorities, the baby was murdered before Francisquini and the mother of the minor had an argument. The cause of the dispute is not clear.
After the altercation, the suspect destroyed his cell phone and removed the GPS monitoring device that was ordered by a court.
At the time of the crime, the man was free on bail after serving 18 years in prison for an assault reported in the 31. After being released, in 2021 Francisquini was arrested again for carjacking at the West Haven hospital. One day after the robbery, he allegedly attacked correctional officers while trying to escape from imposed custody.
The motive for the Camilla’s murder has not been established. Prior to his capture, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) offered $25,000 dollars for clues that would lead to his arrest.
There are no details on whether the authorities found the whereabouts of the alleged murderer through citizen confidence.
