A man who brutally attacked a pregnant woman in a Publix parking lot in Florida was neutralized by an armed bystander who intervened to stop the incident, according to authorities.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Cole Joseph Danisment, 14 years old, became upset with the mother of his son and began to brutally assault her, punching her in the face multiple times in a Publix parking lot, according to a WFLA report.
During the attack, Dainsment continued to beat the 14 weeks pregnant woman, even after After falling to the ground, the suspect stomped on his head and the back of his body.
A witness who was close to the attack said he believed it was of a “so brutal nature” that he feared for the woman’s life, which encouraged him to intervene by drawing his dueling weapon at Danisment, which that caused the attack to stop.
The authorities Respondents to the incident said the attack left the woman covered in large amounts of blood which may have resulted in a broken nose.
The victim and Danisment were known to have been out for approximately a year before the incident occurred, and they lived together for about a month, but were placed under a no-contact order after being arrested for domestic battery after the subject began assaulting the woman in October.
However, Danisment denied having attacked the woman, and only stated that the pregnant woman “saw red” and passed out.
