A Maryland woman said she nearly lost her $50 thousand-dollar lottery prize because she forgot where she hid her winning ticket months before.

The woman, named Srijana Wosti, 50 years old, from the city of Silver Spring, told officials at the Maryland Lottery who purchased an instant ticket to the Family Feud lottery game that cost only $5.

The ticket was purchased at the Kemp Mill Beer, Wine & Deli in Silver Spring in the month June, as reported by UPI.

“I I like watching the show on TV and I like Steve Harvey,” Wosti said, referring to the TV show that bears the same name as the lottery game.

Wosti said that at first he thought the ticket had given him a prize of only $50 dollars, but then he checked on his phone and discovered that he had actually won $50 One thousand dollars.

“I was so happy”, said the lucky winner.

Wosti said that he told her family about the ticket before hiding it in a safe place, but it turned out that she forgot where she had hidden it when it came time to collect the ticket months later.

The player, who feared that the ticket might expire before finding it, she searched her house from top to bottom in a panic and finally found the ticket hidden in a suitcase.

“I was so relieved to find it and to know that it wasn’t too late”, said the player.

Wosti said his winnings will go towards paying off some family debts.
