A Hispanic man faces charges in Colorado for killing his cousin with a bow and arrow.

Carlos Alberto Trejo, 36, was arrested on December 18, at around 1:23 am, according to local and national media reports this week.

The authorities intervened with the suspect when he was trying to enter a parking space at a police station and after breaking a glass window.

Allegedly, Trejo scaled the rear gate of the compound that had a sign warning that only authorized personnel could access the area.

After failing, the man allegedly pulled the fire alarm and then used an ice scraper to hit the window near the back door. The Hispanic went to the police station to turn himself in.

When Colorado Springs Police Department officers confronted the alleged killer, he admitted that he only got up and killed the victim, identified as Martin Rodarte, 37.

On December 16, Trejo allegedly told agents that there was a situation in his apartment that he needed to stay away from. At that time, the man did not provide further information to the authorities, according to a complaint in the case cited by Law & Crime.

Four hours later, the Police went to the house for a security inspection following an alert call.

When uniformed officers arrived on the scene, the man was allegedly at Guthrie’s Bar and Grill, a few blocks from the house. According to the report, Trejo was under the influence of acid, hallucinating and making other customers uncomfortable.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for possible acid overdose.

When officers arrived at the unsecured home, they found the victim’s body on the floor of a room with an arch of pulleys behind it.

At this time, the defendant remains in custody at the El Paso County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
