Within the entertainment industry, many celebrities have faced harsh criticism for sharing overly edited images and videos. This list includes names ranging from the entire Kardashian clan to Wanda Nara herself and, in recent days, Paula Abdul has been added.
After posting several images of his Christmas celebration on his Instagram account, the American star caused a lot of surprise, but also a shower of comments that questioned his use of filters for looking very young at 60 years of age.
In each of the photos, he posed with stars including supermodel Heidi Klum, British music director and television personality Simon Cowell, and the event’s hostess, Paris Hilton’s mother. “Kathy Hilton always throws the most fabulous Christmas party. Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day relaxing, celebrating and surrounded by friends and family. Sending you lots of love and Christmas cheer,” she wrote by way of description.
Although his colleagues and friends left him loving messages in which they returned their good wishes, most users focused their attention on editing the photos. Most took a dim view of his use of filters, calling it excessive, and let him know in the comments section.
“He looks like a completely different person”, “was the account hacked? Who am I looking at?”, “Too much Photoshop”, “She’s unrecognizable” and “Paula stop using so many filters, you don’t need them” were just some of the reactions generated by the American Idol star’s Instagram carousel. Accustomed to receiving these types of comments, Abdul completely ignored them and continued to share snippets of her holiday.
