Lisa Epton, a 45-year-old woman, was found dead with a stab wound in the kitchen of her home in an East Harlem, Manhattan apartment complex.

NYPD responded to a 911 call at 435 East. 102nd St. around 9:45 am yesterday. Upon arrival they found Epton unconscious, lying face down on the kitchen floor, with a stab wound to her torso. Paramedics responded but were unable to save her, she reported. ABC News.

On Wednesday night, a 60-year-old woman was found dead in her Brooklyn home after her ex-husband barricaded himself and apparently made an attempt on her life using a knife.

An autopsy had yet to determine when and how the victim died. Her ex-husband was taken to Maimonides Hospital for a psychological evaluation and treated for what appeared to be a minor stab wound to the chest. No charges have been announced at this time.
