almost-two-months-after-the-drawing-of-the-$2,000-million-powerball-in-california,-there-is-no-clue-of-the-winner;-this-week-is-the-deadline-to-claim-money-in-a-single-payment

Authorities in California have no clues to the winner of the $2 billion Powerball draw for November 7.

It is assumed that this week marks the 60th day of the draw date, so this week ends the period to claim the prize in a single payment.

California Lottery rules state that the winner of a jackpot or jackpot has 60 days from the date of the draw to claim the money in a single cash payment.

If that limit period passes, it would automatically apply the disbursement in 30 payments, one per year.

To request this payment method, the winning person must complete the process in a period not exceeding one year from the date of the draw.

The Powerball roll for the $2 billion jackpot was made on November 8, even though it was supposed to be the day before.

Thus, the 60-day deadline would be met this Friday, January 6.

The state authorities have not yet reported that the prize winner has claimed the money.

The California Lottery is required to disclose the identity of the winner, per lottery rules.

The “jackpot” is the largest reported in the history of lottery games in the United States.

The only jackpot winning ticket was sold at Joe’s Service Center, a gas station in Altadena, Los Angeles County.

The winning numbers of the draw that is supposed to take place on November 7 were: 10, 33, 41, 47, 56; and the Powerball, 10.
