Ramón Rivera Jr. was arrested after an Amber Alert was issued in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for the kidnapping of his 7-month-old baby yesterday.

The 7-month-old girl was located around 7:15 a.m. Thursday with her 22-year-old father. Authorities said Rivera was arrested for kidnapping and also for aggravated assault in connection with an unspecified incident that occurred Wednesday night in Vineland, Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Hours later, the Amber Alert was issued shortly after 4:30 am yesterday by the State Police (NJSP). The girl Emerie Rivera had last been seen in Vineland around 11 p.m. Wednesday, she said. ABC News.

Investigators with the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Forces set up surveillance at a home in Chester, Delaware County (PA), where they believed the kidnapped baby may have been taken.

At around 7:15 am they observed the girl and several adults get into a vehicle. Sheriffs and the New Jersey State Police conducted a traffic stop, found the baby, and Rivera was arrested without incident.

In New Jersey since September 2019, the Latina girl Dulce María Alavez has been missing, who should currently be almost 9 years old. A reward offered of $75,000 dollars and the work of the FBI – one of the most advanced investigative forces in the world – have not been enough to find her or at least to know what happened to her.
