A former Louisiana police officer who pleaded guilty Tuesday to child sex crimes was sentenced to 100 years in prison after reaching a plea deal.

Dennis Perkins, 47, a former deputy with the Town of Livingston Sheriff’s Office, was charged with 150 counts of sex crimes when he was arrested in 2019.

At Tuesday’s hearing, Perkins pleaded guilty to one count of rape in the second degree, two counts of sexual assault on a minor, one count of video voyeurism, two counts of production of child pornography involving children under 13 and one count of mixture of harmful substances.

The remainder of the charges were dismissed as a result of the guilty plea.

Under the agreement, the victims of the pervert will not have to testify in court. Prosecutors in the case met with each victim to obtain approval to move forward with the agreement, according to the WEAR TV report.

The convict was the husband of former Westside Junior High School teacher Cynthia Perkins, 37.

The woman also pleaded guilty and testified against her husband whom she accused of inducing her to commit the crimes.

Cynthia filed for divorce shortly after her arrest.

Among the allegations that paraded in Court is that of “cupcakes” contaminated with Perkins’ sperm that were distributed to students.

The couple’s arrest came after authorities found a photo of a nude couple with a minor.

At the hearing this week, Perkins expressed regret for his actions and was seen crying at times, according to the WAFB-TV report.

“I’m sorry,” several of the victims said before. “It’s been more than three years living in a box and it’s not about me. I just want to make this statement. Jesus Christ has forgiven me. And I’m thankful for that. And I hope and pray that everyone who has been affected will also find forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ,” she added.

The expressions did not convince the victims. One took the podium to wish Perkins that he would spend the rest of his day in fear for his safety.

“Absolutely, you are not worth my time,” said the female. “Instead of protecting, you chose abuse. Have a good life in prison.”

Perkins’ ex-wife was sentenced to 41 years in prison after pleading guilty to various charges last year.
