The Pumas de la UNAM received a hard blow this Thursday in the face of the Clausura 2023 tournament of the MX League, because they received information that they could lose the Argentine forward and main star of the team, Juan Ignacio Dinenno; The problem is due to the fact that he would have received an offer from the United States that was quite difficult to accept.
What happens is that Rafael Puente del Río’s new sports scheme could be affected by the Seattle Sounders of Major League Soccer (MLS), a team that would have had an approach with the Argentine and who wants to have it for the 2023 season of American football .
The information was released by the Argentine journalist César Luis Merlo, who explained that the Sounders set their sights on the Pumas forward for the great performance he has had in recent seasons and consider that they would be an important addition to fight for the championship and even lift the trophy again.
Merlo details that the team would already be preparing a proposal after analyzing their performance since the last Concacaf Champions League, where Dinenno ended up becoming the tournament’s top scorer after facing the Sounders themselves in the Final, who were impressed with their ability game and power in the shots.
During the aforementioned final, Dinenno scored a double in the first leg that made it difficult for the North Americans to win. However, the Pumas failed to hold the lead and ended up losing in the series against Seattle.
