The security forces managed this Friday to capture Jeromy Pietri Napoleoni, who is accused along with his mother of the murder of the young soldier Jancarlo Rivera Lugo last November in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

The extensive operation began last night in Guayanilla with the participation of multiple Police units and the collaboration of federal agencies.

This active search was launched after finding a clue about the whereabouts of 24-year-old Pietri Napoleoni, Police Commissioner Antonio López Figueroa reported in a statement.

After a chase, the young man entered a wooded area of ​​Guayanilla and all the resources of the Uniformed Forces and federal agencies were activated to maintain the search by air and land.

In the framework of the operation, Annette Paola Caquias Martínez, 22, Pietri Napoleoni’s partner, was arrested, the Police Commissioner confirmed.

The young woman, who is pregnant, was taken to a health center for a medical examination, and her case will be consulted with a prosecutor.

The young man’s capture occurs after his mother, Ana Inés Napoleoni Medina, turned herself in to the Police at the end of December.

Against Napoleoni Medina and Pietri Napoleoni there is a global bail of $10 million dollars ($5 million each), after the judge found cause for their arrest.

The Ponce Prosecutor’s Office charged them with first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and violations of the Weapons Law, for carrying, aiming and firing automatic weapons.
