A Florida man and his alleged mistress were arrested last Wednesday for sexually abusing a 2-year-old boy in his care.
The suspects were identified as Jason Zeak, 35; and Andrea Shearin, 31.
Authorities in Volusia County learned of the alleged pattern of abuse after the man’s wife discovered hundreds of compromising texts on Zeak’s cell phone. The messages also mentioned the alleged intentions of the perverts to continue abusing the minor.
At this time, the relationship of the adults with the alleged victim or if there was any relationship is unknown.
The abuses would have been reported in October.
The defendants face charges of lewd and lascivious abuse, lewd and lascivious exhibition and child abuse.
As of late last week, Zeak was being held on $150,000 bail, while Shearin had posted bail on Thursday to be temporarily released.
