new-colombian-talent-arrives-in-the-mls:-real-salt-lake-signs-a-young-scorer-from-millonarios

Colombian talent continues to make its way in Major League Soccer (MLS) and an example of this is the arrival of the young forward Carlos Andrés Gómez who signed on Tuesday for Real Salt Lake from Millionaire, as confirmed by the South American team through a statement.

“Millionaires informs that striker Carlos Andrés Gómez has been transferred to Real Salt Lake,” the Ambassador institution wrote on social networks, where it also thanked the player “for his professionalism and we wish him success in his career.”

The American team was ahead of Red Bull Bragantino from Brazil, but failed to satisfy the payment terms offered to the Colombian team by the striker.

Gómez follows in the footsteps of other young Colombian players seeking new horizons in soccer and finding space in teams in the American league.

The striker, born in Quibdó in September 2002, is characterized by his speed and versatility, abilities for which he earned a position in Millonarios.

With Millonarios, Gómez scored seven goals in the second half of the Colombian league and leaves a hole in Alberto Gamero’s team that seeks to assemble a team that can win the league championship.
