Dominican baseball player Juan Soto has become one of the figures that has given the most talk in terms of his sports development within Major League Baseball (MLB); The reason is due to the great numbers that the quisqueyan has achieved with only 24 years.
Soto is shaping up to be one of the great players of the decade and it is rumored that his contract should be worthy for the marks he hopes to achieve.
The historic Dominican baseball player, Robinson Canó, has decided to raise the uncertainty about his next signing and reveal how much Soto should earn. For the veteran, this figure should mark history in the Major Leagues and even exceed the agreement signed by the New York Yankees for Aaron Judge.
Canó recently had a conversation with the journalist Juanfrank Kranwinkel in which they mentioned the large payments that the teams are currently making in the MLB and the future of Juan Soto within the championship.
The former second baseman assured that the San Diego Padres must make a great offer for the young Dominican star and that if it were up to him, he would give Soto up to a contract for 700 million dollars to keep him in the organization, a sum that will undoubtedly either represents a rather risky bet for any franchise.
Despite this large number, various specialized media claim that Soto could become one of the first players to sign a $500 million deal in Major League history. The reason is due to the great performance that he has on the pitch and with the wood.
Canó maintained that even though he had a bad campaign in 2022, this does not define his great market value and he is sure that he will be able to break paradigms in the next contract he signs.
During the 2022 MLB season, Soto batted .239 with 11 hits, two home runs, seven RBIs and seven runs scored. However, for life he has a .87 average with 125 home runs, 612 hits, 374 RBIs and 430 runs scored.
