Chipotle Mexican Grill announced that it will launch a new staffing campaign to recruit some 15,000 new employees ahead of burrito season, which is typically the company’s busiest time of year, which runs from March to May.
In this new hiring campaign, Chipotle will rely on its current employees to generate requests and ensure that its restaurants are fully staffed for the peak season and expansion plans.
The brand is showcasing the stories of its people and profiling their career evolution within the organization in an effort to attract thousands of new members to the team.
Chipotle’s new recruiting campaign builds on its existing documentary-style television spots that aim to showcase the daily tasks of restaurant employees.
“Our restaurant teams are the core of this organization and with the goal of more than doubling our footprint to 7,000 North American locations, we are targeting the employees of today to serve as our leaders of tomorrow,” said Scott Boatwright, Director of Restaurants.
“We will continue to add new teams to support Chipotle’s aggressive growth plans, while promoting and training those currently in office,” Boatwright added.
To motivate applicants, the new campaign features six employees from across the country who have risen through the ranks, from restaurant crew members to managers.

Chipotle notes that in 2022, it had approximately 22,000 internal promotions. Additionally, 90% of all restaurant management positions were internal promotions, including 100% of US Regional Vice President positions, 81% of Team Managers and 74% of Leader positions. field.
