Las Rayadas de Monterrey defeated León 0-1 this Saturday in their own stadium to maintain their perfect performance and ratify the leadership of the Clausura 2023 Tournament in the Women’s MX League.
In the continuation of the fourth day, Daniela Solís converted for Las Rayadas, to declare her fourth win in a row and maintain favoritism to dispute the title.
Although León stood up well in his stadium, the dominance was clear from Monterrey and this was reflected by Solís herself when an assist from the American Christina Bukenroad ended with an impeccable left-footed finish to make it 0-1 at minute 27.
In the second half, León looked for an equalizer and at times took control of the ball, but the clearest chance for the locals came late in the game when Argentina’s Mariana Larroquette received a pass from Lucero Cuevas to score at will but his shot went to the side, wasting the chance of the tie.
Despite the scare at the last minute, the visiting Rayadas kept their defense in order and guaranteed victory.
In this way, Monterrey reaches 12 points and accumulating an immaculate record of four victories in four games, they add three units more than Tigres de la UANL, Juárez, Pachuca and Chivas who remain with nine.
