One person was struck by a bullet, three people were stabbed and an unidentified subject was found dead amid the wave of violence in New York City, authorities said.
During the fateful event, a charred body was found after a suspicious vehicle fire in Queens early Saturday morning, police said.
The body was discovered after officers received a report of a car on fire at the intersection of Mott Avenue and Bay 25th Street in Far Rockaway before 2:40 a.m.
After the fire was extinguished by the New York Fire Department, the cremated body of the unidentified victim was discovered in the driver’s seat, officials explained.
In addition, the city’s medical examiner’s office will determine the individual’s cause of death. Authorities do not yet have the make of the vehicle in question or a description of the person who died.
“The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Identification of the deceased is part of the active investigation,” the New York police said.
On the other hand, a 34-year-old subject was shot in the subway in downtown Manhattan, who was struck in the torso in the middle of an altercation with a man and a woman on an N train after 1:00 in the morning. .
The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. The New York police are investigating the event, according to the New York Post.
In the latest criminal act, three people were stabbed during an incident in the Bronx around 6:10 on Saturday morning.
The violence occurred at a possible “alcohol related” event just outside Allerton Avenue and Olinville Avenue in Allerton, deputies said.
One person was stabbed in the leg, another in the chest and the last in the arm. All three victims were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, law enforcement officials said.
