Britney Spears confessed on her Twitter account the reason that led her to close her Instagram account this week, arguing that it is due to the negative comments made on her content.
The singer wrote a thread on the social network to publicize her annoyance at the comments of the users, which, in the words of the interpreter, hurt her feelings.
“I closed my Instagram because there were a lot of people saying that I looked like a dancing idiot and that I looked crazy. Honestly, I was doing the best I could, but it bothered me to see people talk freely about it on TV and, yes, it hurt my feelings.”
“I’m sensitive and honestly I’d rather take a break and go on my ice cream diet anyway because it really works,” the singer wrote.
He retracts his attack on his fans
The disappearance of the Britney Spears account caused the concern of her fans, who called the police for help in case the star was in danger.
This situation caused the singer to be visited by the police, for which she asked fans to respect her privacy.
“As everyone knows, the Police arrived at my house due to some phone calls. I love and adore my fans, but this time things went too far and my privacy was invaded,” Britney posted.
The interpreter of “Hold Me Closer” touched on the subject again to explain that the act of her fans surprised her, but it was not necessary.
“I am very surprised that when I closed my Instagram, the fans got worried and sent the police to my house. It really wasn’t necessary. I adore my fans but those who did are not real fans and I honestly felt it was a way to make me look bad!” she wrote.
Calls from her fans aside, Spears said she is fine and out of danger.
“I am alive, well, healthy and ready to start a new day and a new morning! To my true fans, God bless you,” she concluded.
