American actress Annie Wersching died this Sunday, January 29, in Los Angeles, California. Her death was confirmed by her publicist, Craig Schneider, through a statement.

Schneider also reported that cancer was the cause of death. The actress was diagnosed with this disease in 2020 but she continued to work as if nothing had happened.

Schneider’s husband, fellow actor Stephen Full, shared a statement saying: “Today there is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder at the simplest moment. She didn’t need music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you.”

After being diagnosed with cancer, the actress continued with some of the acting projects for which the public knows her. One of those roles is that of Borg Queen for the second season of the series ‘Star Trek: Picard’.

In some interviews Wersching explained that playing Borg Queen had been quite a challenge, mainly because it is an iconic role.

Before that, he gave life to different productions for television and digital platforms. She was Julia Brasher, a police officer in the Amazon series ‘Bosch’; Emma Whitmore, an engineer, on the NBC series ‘Timeless’; and FBI Special Agent Renee Walker on Fox’s ’24.’

Several producers and actors who worked with Wersching expressed their sadness at the death of the actress and in many cases listed all the qualities she had.
