NY State of Health offers Qualified Health Plans (QHP) at four levels: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Platinum plans generally have the highest premiums and the highest copays low. 12 insurers offer Qualified Health Plans in 2023.

All standard Bronze plans include three sick visits with no copays or deductibles. There are Gold and Silver plans in each county that also include three low-cost sick visits that are not subject to the deductible. Standard Platino plans have no deductible, so all covered services are already included without the need to satisfy a deductible.

The Essential Plan will continue to offer coverage with no monthly premium, no deductible, and low cost-sharing, and will include dental and vision benefits for all members. 12 insurers offer the Essential Plan in 2023.

You can compare QHP and Essential Plan options for 2023 at www.nystateofhealth.ny.gov.

NY State of Health also has resources available to help consumers shop and compare plan options, such as the Compare Plans and Estimate Costs tool is available to view plan options together.
