gennaro-gattuso-and-valencia-agreed-to-terminate-his-contract

The Italian Gennaro Gattuso and Valencia of Spain agreed by mutual agreement to terminate the contract that united them under the technical direction of the team that is currently located one point from the relegation places of the Spanish League.

As reported by the Mestalla club on its social networks on Monday, Gattuso’s departure is effective immediately and they also reported that the team will remain in the hands of Voro González for the time being.

In its letter, the club thanks Gattuso “for his commitment and work in these months” and wishes him good luck in the future.

Gattuso’s departure comes after the team has only added one point out of the last twelve possible and has been eliminated from the Copa del Rey.

As if that were not enough, the Italian coach had also shown his disappointment in recent weeks at the lack of reinforcements, accusing that the lack of results were caused in part by a short squad and incapable of dealing with injuries.

At the moment, Valencia has accumulated 20 points in the Spanish League and currently occupies the 14th position in the tournament, but tied with Espanyol, Celta and Valladolid who are in 15th, 16th and 17th places respectively.
