The Eagles of Club América received very good news this Monday, after confirming that the soccer player Jonathan Dos Santos did not suffer any injury despite the strong attack that forced him to leave the field of play in the defeat that his team gave Mazatlán FC during the last day of the Clausura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX.

The player shared an image of his ankle through the stories of his account on the Instagram social network, where he explained that he did not suffer any injury and that everything was a simple scare, so he hopes to be part of the call for the fifth day of Aztec football.

In the photograph it can be seen that the 32-year-old player suffered some blows to the ankle due to the action of his rival, although he maintained that it was only superficial damage and that he does not present any discomfort when moving, for which the doctors of the Azulcrema ruled out the injury.

“It could have been worse but thank God it was just the blow. Thank you all for the messages from him! ”, Wrote Jonathan Dos Santos accompanying the Instagram snapshot.

It is important to remember that the footballer had to be substituted in the 82nd minute of the match against Mazatlán after receiving a strong sweep by Roberto Meráz, who ended up being expelled from the match after reviewing the play through VAR.

Currently, the Águilas del América are in seventh place in the Clausura 2023 tournament of Liga MX with a total of six points; the result is due to a total of three draws and one win.

As for the performance of Dos Santos, he has not had great support from the coaching staff, playing only three of the four games as a substitute and without any goals or assists to date.
