The Transfermarkt statistics portal recently released a list of the teams from all over America that attract the most fans to their stadium and Club Tigres from Mexico is among the top 10 in this ranking, which is led by River Plate from Argentina.
With 64,762 fans per game, the Argentine club River is the one that summons the most fans to its venue, followed by Flamengo from Brazil with an average of 54,479 people per game.
The third place is surprising because it belongs to an MLS club; the Atlanta United. The team of the five stripes has an average capacity of 47,116, surpassing even a great on the continent such as Boca Juniors, which averages 42,633 people that it gathers in La Bombonera for each game.
Fifth, sixth and seventh place are taken by Brazilian teams: Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Palmeiras register an average number of fans of 41,037, 38,898 and 35,943, respectively.
This leaves Club Tigre in the eighth position of the teams on the continent that summon the most people to their stadium, the “Auriazul” team brings an average of 35,901 fans per game to the University Stadium, which has a total capacity of 41,615 seats.
