police-say-oregon-woman-torture-suspect-might-change-his-appearance-as-they-release-new-photos

Authorities have warned that the wanted suspect accused of torturing an Oregon woman while holding her captive may try to change his appearance by shaving his beard and hair or changing his hair color.

The Grants Police Department updated and published several photos in which the criminal, Benjamin Obadiah Foster, could be seen with various looks.

The 36-year-old suspect is considered an extremely dangerous subject and remains a fugitive from justice.

Officials presume that Foster tied up and beat the woman until she was unconscious, who found her in a house last Tuesday and transferred her to a care center in critical condition.

Since that time, detectives have been actively involved in a 24-hour search for Foster.

Last Thursday night, the Grants Pass Police Department and an Oregon State Police SWAT team issued a search warrant at Wolf Crrek to apprehend the suspect.

After a long chase, authorities revealed that the subject had escaped. They also believe that someone helped him to escape and the agents arrested Tina Marie Jones, 68, who was accused of hindering the prosecution. She was booked into the Josephine County Jail.

On the other hand, the police collected various pieces of evidence, including a 2008 Nissan Sentra during the search for Foster.

Officials disclosed that the man is using online dating apps to contact people and use them to help him flee or as potential victims. They also warned people in the area to be careful while the suspect is still on the run and that anyone who helps him escape or hide will face charges.

Authorities believe Foster may have been armed. He is wanted on charges of kidnapping, attempted murder, and assault.

The suspect has previously been sentenced for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend inside her Las Vegas apartment for two weeks in 2019, the KOIN news agency reported.

He was originally charged with five felonies, including assault and battery, but settled with prosecutors in 2021.

Foster pleaded guilty to one felony charge and one misdemeanor charge of assault constituting domestic violence. The judge in charge of that case sentenced them to up to two and a half years in prison in the state of Nevada.

Because the nearly two years he was incarcerated awaiting trial counted as part of his ruling, and because he had already served his minimum sentence, a spokesman for the Nevada prison system said the man was released the same day he arrived in prison. .

The AP had reported that Foster’s girlfriend suffered seven broken ribs, two bruised eyes and injuries from being kept bound at her wrists and ankles with zip ties and duct tape, a police report said.

The man’s plea deal with prosecutors in 2021 settled another domestic violence case in 2018 for which he was charged.

For its part, the Grants Pass Police Department offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to Foster’s capture and subsequent prosecution. Anyone who can provide information on where he may be is asked to call the Grants Pass hotline at (541) 237-5607 or call 911.

Similarly, Grants Pass Police Lt. Jeff Hattersley said detectives don’t believe Foster has long hair at this time.
