A South Carolina grandmother has been arrested after allegedly helping her grandson cover up a murder, authorities said.

The elderly woman, identified as Edna Faye Daniels, 78, of Georgetown County, was arrested Jan. 27 on the basis that she concealed evidence related to a homicide that occurred at her home, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. it’s a statement.

The woman is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center on charges of obstruction of justice and accessory to murder.

Ryan O’Neil Woodruff, Daniels’ grandson, was taken into custody on January 25 after the shooting death of 19-year-old TyQuez Demetrius Walker at Daniels’ home at 135 Meadow St. , indicated WPDE.

Previously, Woodruf, 30, was out on bail for a double murder case in 2021, the aforementioned outlet highlighted.

After the suspect was taken into custody at the scene, Grandma Daniels allegedly made several false statements to investigators.
