Playstation Studios has already announced the cover of its video game MLB The Show in its 2023 version and revealed the protagonist of its cover, who will be Jazz Chisholm, a young player for the Miami Marlins.
Chisholm made his debut in the Major Leagues in 2020 and this season is expected to be one of the revelations of the Florida team, since at only 24 years old he is predicted to have great potential in baseball.
The production company posted an excellent video on its social networks to announce the infielder as the face of the cover with the description “Follow the journey of Jazz Chisholm from a vacant lot in the Bahamas to the major leagues.”
For six years The Show has changed its theme regarding the covers of its editions, since now it includes young people who are not necessarily mega stars or have a million-dollar contract.
In 2018 the main protagonist of the cover was Aaron Judge, who had just won the Rookie of the Year award last season, followed by Bryce Harper in 2019 who was only 25 years old.
For 2020, a 25-year-old Javier Báez was the cover of the game and the following year, at just 21 years old and just two seasons in the Major Leagues, Fernando Tatis Jr. led the video game.
The last edition of 2022 was included Shohei Ohtani, after being the MVP last season. Now they are playing for Jazz, a player who has only played 205 games with the Miami Marlins.
