Although in many countries it is not mandatory to tip the waiters who serve us in the different establishments we go to, the truth is that many of us take it as a moral duty to leave these restaurant and bar employees compensation for their good service. since it is usually of great help to them because the salaries are not always the best.
In the United States, it is not mandatory to tip waiters; however, it is customary to leave between 15 and 20% of the total bill, which will depend on what we consume, the place we have gone, our pocket and above all, if we are satisfied with the way in which they have served us
On this matter, different cases of waiters who have had both good and bad experiences with customers have gone viral on social networks, particularly when they leave a tip.
A waitress named Samara Disanto uploaded a video to TikTok where she indicates the things that a customer should NOT do when leaving a tip in a restaurant. There are 3 things that Samara considers improper by diners:
1) Hide lower denomination bills between one of higher value.
2) Combine bills with one that is false.
3) Leave a lot of coins with the intention of not carrying change.
As expected, the video has thousands of views and various comments. Some users indicated that they understood the issue of counterfeit money, but they did not share the idea that the customer is free to leave coins or bills as a tip if they wish.
