A Chick-fil-A employee reported that a consumer persistently ordered a hamburger, mistakenly believing it was at McDonald’s.
The video featured TikTok user Lexi (@lexbreezy5) sitting in her car, explaining that she worked at Chick-fil-A on and off for six years, as she is a student in college.
One year, during the holidays, she returned to work.
“There are things that don’t change, and the things that don’t change are the people who come to our drive-thru playing dumb,” she says. Then she told the story about the incident with the client.
According to Lexi, the event took place in the self-service section. Since one of the takers needed to go to the bathroom, Lexi replaced him, and that’s when everything started to get out of hand.
A car arrived to place an order and Lexi stated that the customer looked “dead in the eyes” and ordered a burger.
Shocked, Lexi claims that she explained to the customer that Chick-fil-A doesn’t offer burgers, only chicken sandwiches. This left the customer confused.
According to Lexi, the customer asked her, “What kind of McDonald’s doesn’t sell hamburgers?” which generated an exchange of arguments, since the client was sure she was at McDonald’s.
Despite having shown her uniform, Lexi assures that the lady did not change her mind.
Lexi told The Daily Dot that the incident occurred at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in the greater Jackson, Mississippi region. She stated that she had worked with difficult clients before, but none as strange as this woman.
According to Lexi, the discussion lasted 3-4 minutes, as the woman was absolutely sure she was at McDonald’s. Lexi shared that this could have been because the client appeared to be under the influence of marijuana.
“It was the first thing I smelled when the window rolled down,” Lexi told the Daily Dot.
The video has accumulated 1.5 million views.
