The transfer is already official and the world champion Enzo Fernández will join Chelsea from Benfica for 121 million euros, the Argentine posted a video on his social networks to say goodbye to the Portuguese fans.
“Much obligated Benfiquistas. I am grateful to God for having given me the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world where I enjoy every moment to the fullest and always give my best”, was part of the text with which Fernández accompanied the video.
The Argentine was only in the Lisbon squad for six months, but his excellent performance in the World Cup with Argentina aroused the interest of the greats of Europe.
Enzo played 17 games as a starter in the Portuguese league, scored one goal and gave five assists; while in the Champions League he also stood out with two goals and one assist and the five starts that he had.
